How Much Should We Charge?

Over the course of six weeks, your students will gain real-world experience putting their knowledge of cost accounting to work for a new business venture in which they are part owner of a dog treat company. After assigning students to small groups, they will receive weekly tasks in which they must take the necessary steps to develop a realistic, well-informed pricing structure for four unique products. Once pricing is established and other business decisions are made, students will also have to tackle cost-related issues that arise and participate in a Shark Tank-style pitch to help take their businesses to the next level.
