ESG and Sustainability at Interface, Inc.
If there’s one thing we can’t live without, it’s our beautiful planet. However, from the products we buy to the food we toss out, every one of us has created waste that isn’t so great for the environment. Much of the time, products we use are made by large companies that use a ton of resources and generate nonrenewable goods. So, how can we tell whether a company is doing its best to reduce waste and their negative environmental impact?
This activity gets students familiar with the growing field of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting via Interface, Inc. – the first global carpet tile maker to sell all their products as carbon-neutral – to show students how accountants analyze more than just dollars and cents to contribute to a healthy future for all.
