With Jeremias Ramos, CPA, Tax Supervisor at Withum Smith & Brown

Jeremias is a second generation Puerto Rican and was the first in his family to graduate from college. He decided to study accounting after realizing the coursework came easy to him. After graduating in the top five of his class, he went on to pass all four parts of the CPA exam on his first try while simutaneously taking night classes for his MBA and working full time.

In addition to his role as a business and tax consultant at Withum Smith & Brown, Jeremias is a Broadway enthusiast and star and editor in chief of The Daily CPA, an online accounting and tax news publication. In this Virtual Field Trip, Jeremias shares:

  • His background, education and career paths
  • Why he decided to become a CPA
  • His typical work day and responsibilities in his current role
  • His life, personal interests and hobbies outside of work
