Ronald Quintero

Principal
R.G. Quintero & Co.
New York, NY

“Diversity of experience” drove Ronald Quintero into accounting, and by the looks of his professional history, he got what he was after. It reads more like five people’s careers than like something one man could have done.

Out off college, he was hired by KPMG, where he started his firm’s first Business Valuation practice. Then he led an insolvency advisory firm, then worked in investment banking at Bear Stearns, then started his own firm (R. G. Quintero & Co.; he’s in charge, as you might have guessed) and another one – Chartered Capital Advisers, Inc. Oh, and he’s an award-winning scholar, writer and lecturer with no fewer than 10 professional licenses, including CPA.

On an average day, you might find Ronald working from home, or meeting at a client’s office or even giving a seminar in Asia somewhere. (He’s addressed audiences on every continent except Antarctica.)

What does he love about his job? “Constant opportunities to learn and share knowledge,” he says. Especially since he seems to be taking advantage of all those opportunities. “I can always look back and realize that I know more than I did five years earlier,” he says. “And I expect that to continue.”

You can expect the same, says Ronald, with CPA certification. “It’s an excellent foundation upon which you can build,” he says. “This is a profession well suited for people who wish to learn and continue to grow.”

And grow, and grow, and grow…
