Phil Bayley will tell you that the worth of his CPA license is very tangible. Even visible.
Phil runs his own successful investment firm, Bayley Financial. “When I’m sitting across from a potential client, and tell him or her that I’m a CPA I can see their view of me changes immediately,” he says. “It differentiates me from everyone else. When I give someone my business card, it’s the first thing they’ll ask about. I love it.”
Before starting his own company, Phil built up plenty of experience in all types of companies. He started out at a large public accounting firm, got his CPA, then went on to work at several well-known financial firms. “I started in accounting because I knew it would give me a solid foundation for wherever I decided to go in business,” he says.
And that advantage is something he can see every time he introduces himself.
