Senior Accountant
Magnuson, McHugh, & Co. P.A.
Coeur d'Alene, ID
Feel free to ask Mary Chestnutt any accounting-related questions you may have. But speak up – this CPA isn’t the quiet office type.
“I LOVE heavy metal,” she says. “I’m comfortable in the boardroom, yes, but I’m just as comfortable in the mosh pit.”
You might assume that a Senior Accountant might prefer something a little more precise and predictable in her musical tastes, but Mary begs to differ. She’s just not the elevator music type. In her job it’s always something new and different, and it seems she just likes that in her free time too.”
Still, some stability is nice to have. “Economy good, economy bad – somebody still has to manage the money,” she admits. “Or lack of it.” For Mary, it’s nice to know she’s in a career with demand as steady as a double-bass drumbeat.
She’s also got a little advice to anyone else interested in choosing the next few songs in their life’s soundtrack: “Be who you are and who you want to be, not what someone else wants or thinks you should be.”
Rock on.
