Kimberly Dietz

Assistant Controller
DR Horton, Inc.
Forth Worth, TX

Some people know Kimberly Dietz as an underwater photographer whose work has been exhibited in the International Photo Hall of Fame.

Others know her as a Harley rider itching for the occasional 3,700-mile road trip.

At DR Horton, a large home-building company, she’s known as an innovator working to revise their litigation model. She creates the tools they need to run a better business.

While some may think she has a split personality, for Kimberly it’s all part of her decision to become a CPA. “I love the career flexibility,” she says. “And I do everything I can to enjoy the many opportunities this profession has allowed me to experience.”

Kimberly encourages anyone considering going into accounting to take things to the next level by getting certified as a CPA. “Having an accounting degree without obtaining the CPA designation is like having a great thoroughbred horse and never putting it on the track. You’ll never know how far and fast that horse can go.”
