Managing Director
FTI Consulting
Chicago, IL
You just got off the phone with a reporter. Your business is in a dispute over hundreds of millions of dollars. The newspaper wants to write a front-page article about it.
Call Kenneth Mathieu. Kenneth has been working in forensic accounting since 1998, and has been with FTI Consulting since 2004. He earned his undergraduate degree in finance and accounting from Loyola University and got an MBA. If anyone can straighten the situation out, it’s Kenneth. Still, “the work presents new challenges and problems to solve every day,” he admits. “I am constantly learning from colleagues and clients.”
At home, Kenneth gets to use his powers of analysis to settle disputes between his two young kids, both of whom keep him “very busy” but are “extremely fun to be around.”
Good thing Kenneth welcomes a challenge. After all, he got into this field because of “the technical skills required and the opportunity for rapid career advancement.” He also likes the consulting nature of the work, and the flexibility his accounting skills give him.
So don’t sweat that multi-million-dollar business deal thing. With Kenneth’s critical thinking on the case, it’s as good as solved.
