Jessica Gatzke

Tax Supervisor
Scribner, Cohen & Company
Milwaukee, WI

Next time you see a woman filling up her Harley at a gas station, consider asking her for tax advice. It just might be Jessica Gatzke, a tax supervisor for Milwaukee’s Scribner, Cohen & Company. As a Harley owner, Jessica and her husband participate in charity rides and other events for fellow riders in their spare time.

As a CPA, Jessica has been able to align her career with her interests. “It keeps me in the classroom recruiting the next generation of talent, continuing my education through graduate degrees and developing my technical skills,” she says. “I love that I never stop learning.”

Some days she’s preparing tax returns. Other times, she’s at local colleges recruiting for new employees to fill open positions at her company, organizing events for other young CPAs or attending marketing meetings with community groups. “I really enjoy speaking in front of large groups whenever there’s an opportunity to do that,” Jessica says.

Her advice to students? “Follow your passions and work hard on your education, and the sky is the limit – especially as a CPA.”

Ride on, Jessica.
