Controller
Indiana Health Care Association

Jeff DeBolt is the co-founder of an iPhone application software development company - Believe in Science Software. His latest app lets iPhone users play their phone like a drum.
He also runs his own t-shirt design company called Leo the Fifth.
And he publishes a blog focusing on sneakers, high tops, and other fashion-related topics.
Oh, and he’s also the Controller for the Indiana Health Care Association, which means he’s the sole accountant responsible for accounting and financial planning at this organization.
In his world, it all makes total sense. “In high school, I wasn’t interested in anything but music and skateboarding,” Jeff says. “But when I thought about my future, I knew I wanted a job that would allow me to help people and to live anywhere in the country. I’ve never been one for long-term planning, so choosing a career that gives me as much flexibility as possible made the most sense for me.”
If he was looking for flexibility, he found it as a CPA. Jeff’s been able to follow his interests in technology and design while holding down an important job that he loves.
He also uses his skills to help people – Jeff helps a few artists and designers with their taxes and other financial issues and is working to create a support group that will provide advice and education free of charge to artists and other creative small business owners. "I truly love being a CPA,” he says. “I love having the knowledge and the skills to help people in the area of tax planning; individually and for their businesses.”
