David George describes himself as having “taken up life” in recent years, and if that’s his hobby, he’s awfully good at it.

As Founder and Partner of a company that advises high net worth (in other words, really wealthy) individuals on how to invest their money, David looks forward to getting to the office every day. There he meets clients and “provides solutions to a very wide range of problems and questions.”

He gets the chance to solve a wide range of problems during his off-hours, too – while running half marathons, hiking the Inca Trail in the Andes at mountain passes of 14,000 feet, and rafting the Kongakut River north of the Arctic Circle, you can bet a challenge or two has come up.

But he’s always looking for new challenges, and his career advice echoes what he’d probably tell you about, say, navigating through a drifting field of ice floes: “You have in your own hands,” he says, “the ability to chart your own path. When you look to accounting, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.”

David’s parting words are hard to believe, given everything he’s achieved so far, but still pretty inspirational: “If I can do it, so can you.”
