Where you take the exam is not of much importance compared to where you are going to apply for licensure however keep in mind that before you apply to sit for the exam in a given state, be sure you meet all the requirements for that state. The Uniform CPA Examination is a nationally administered exam which means that it is the same no matter which state you take it in. Many students take the exam in the state they attend school but may ultimately apply for their license in a different state based on where they land a job. There are many factors to consider. Keep in mind that once you pass your first section you have 18 months to pass all four parts. You can learn more about the exam at www.cpa-exam.org
