My advice to someone pursuing a career in accounting is to keep an open mind – an open mind for the variety of options that will present themselves. A career in accounting provides the foundation for an endless number of opportunities, from public accounting to private industry to opening your own business. If you find that you are not enjoying one particular aspect, remember that it’s a multi-dimensional career and, with this great foundation, you will have the chance to find a perfect fit for yourself.
